
MTA ML Workshop - "Hazards of Steep Ground" course with Paul Poole of Paul Poole Mountaineering. Camped at Dolgam in Capel Curig over night for an early start from the Moel Siabod Cafe at 8:30 AM. Drove to Ogwen Cottage to park, and walked up into Cwm Idwal and onto Clogwyn y Tarw at the north end of Gribin Facet (Raging Bull). The focus was on confidence rope work on steep ground within the remit of Mountain Leader, assisting ascents and descents.
Time: 8:30 AM start - 4:20PM finish.
Weather was windy and gusting in Cwm Idwal. Light rain periodically.

Glyderau
The Glyderau (a Welsh plural form, also known in English as the Glyders) are a mountain group in Snowdonia, North Wales. The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
