PYB Scrambling - 5 Day Course: Day 4 Tryfan. Started from layby at Llyn Ogwen. at 9:30am. Scrambled up the North ridge and progressed up to the summit at the Adam and Eve stones. Then descended the gully down the west face. This was a change from the intended descent of the south ridge, as the weather was back to high gusting winds to 50mph on the summit line. We ducked down the west gully to reduce the buffeting by the winds, which were heavy with rain pretty much the entire journey. Finished back at the starting point at 3:15pm, returning to Plas-y-Brenin to practice rope work for tomorrow's (Friday - Day 5) scramble. Finishing the day at 5:00pm. In spite of the November Welsh weather, I really enjoyed Tryfan for its great variety of routes, and look forward to exploring many more of them that were left when decisions were made to pick a specific route, which left many more for later. This was different to Crib Goch the day before, which left pretty much had one track.

Glyderau
The Glyderau (a Welsh plural form, also known in English as the Glyders) are a mountain group in Snowdonia, North Wales. The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
