Glyder Traverse, descend via Y Garn NE ridge, Sun 8th Feb 2015
Route
Start A5 Lay By, Proceed up towards Llyn Blochwyd, Bwlch Tryfan and Miners Track, continue on to gap and head west along path to summit of Glyder Fach, bit of fun on the Cantilever then thread through the Castell Yr Gwynt and onto Glyder Fawr. Decend to lake and then up Y Garn. Desend down NE Ridge back to car.
A fantastic winter walk with classic cloud inversion

Cold, with occasional gusts of wind, cloud base above summit

Fresh snow above 550m, fit crampons at Llyn Blochwyd

Length: 12km ish Height Gain: 800m. Highest Point: Glyder Fawr (999mm)
Time: approx 8 hrs ish extra 1hr for messing around and taking hundreds of pics.
