Tom Cringle and I set out to complete the Bob Baxter Round, aiming to hit all 37 of the Isle of Man's peaks that are over 1000ft. We successfully finished in 11 hours and 15 minutes, setting a new record for the round. The route was demanding, collecting a total of 13,700ft of elevation across the peaks. The weather added an extra layer of challenge, with a cold, medium south west wind gusting up to 34mph. The temperature hovered around 10°C, but it felt slightly warmer at 13°C due to the humidity of 76%.Despite the tough conditions and gusty winds, we persevered and pushed through to complete the round. It was an exhausting day but incredibly rewarding, especially knowing we set a new record. The Bob Baxter Round tested our endurance and determination, but the sense of accomplishment at the end made it all worthwhile.
