Day 3 of the 2021 DBR was a turning point—I felt good and started to believe I might actually finish this challenge! The day was marked by clear, sunny weather with good visibility and a moderate wind, which made for a pleasant, albeit tough, day in the mountains. The route covered 69.81 km with 3571 m of ascent, taking in multiple peaks, including Cadair Idris - Penygadair and Tarrenhendre. The climbs were challenging, but the sense of progress and accomplishment kept me motivated. One of the highlights was the 5 km descent to the valley camp. I was moving quickly, excited to reach camp and have some well-deserved food. The feeling of energy and optimism was a welcome change, making this one of the best days of the event so far. The day ended on a high note, reinforcing my determination to complete the DBR. The combination of strong performance, good weather, and the anticipation of finishing made this a memorable and rewarding Quality Mountain Day.

Area : Cadair Idris

Cadair Idris or Cader Idris is a mountain in Gwynedd, Wales, which lies at the southern end of the Snowdonia National Park near the town of Dolgellau. The peak, which is one of the most popular in Wales for walkers and hikers,[1] is composed largely of Ordovician igneous rocks, with classic glacial erosion features such as cwms, moraines, striated rocks, and roches moutonnées.
