Day 6 of the 2021 DBR was a grueling battle to the finish. My feet were shredded with burst blisters and hanging toenails, my quads were completely smashed, and I was utterly exhausted. But with the 5th-place runner closing in, I had no choice but to keep pushing. The route covered 63.13 km with 1439 m of ascent under overcast skies and a gentle breeze. Every step was a struggle, but the determination to hold my position kept me going.Crossing the finish line was a huge relief after an incredibly tough week. This day not only tested my physical and mental limits but also sparked a deep love for the outdoors, leading to many more adventures. It was a hard-fought finish, but the sense of accomplishment made it all worthwhile.

Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park
Bannau Brycheiniog (the Brecon Beacons) is a mountain range in South Wales. In a narrow sense, the name refers to the range of Old Red Sandstone peaks popular with walkers which lie to the south of Brecon. Sometimes referred to as "the central Beacons" they include South Wales' highest mountain, Pen y Fan. The range forms the central section of the Brecon Beacons National Park (Parc Cenedlaethol Bannau Brycheiniog), a designation which also encompasses ranges both to the east and the west of "the central Beacons". This much wider area is also commonly referred to as "the Brecon Beacons".
