
DofE Supervisor/Assessor: DofE Silver Expedition for St Paul's Girl's School of London at Llangollen, North Wales. Employed by Mountain Water Expeditions as a DofE Supervisor/Assessor. Provided training in preparation for their Silver Expedition Assessment in the Fall in the Peak District. 63 girls in 10th year (average age 15). Broken into groups of 6 or 7. I Lead a group, training them in navigation, expedition equipment, weather, route planning, first aid, field cooking, and tent camping. At the end of day 2 they practiced route planning in advance for there Expedition in the Peak District. Day 1 and 2 included 4 1/2 hour hikes, and day 2 a 7 hour hike. This was my second year with the Silver Expedition Training and Assessment for St Paul's

Berwyn Range
The Berwyn range (Welsh: Y Berwyn or Mynydd y Berwyn) is an isolated and sparsely populated area of moorland located in the north-east of Wales, roughly bounded by Llangollen in the north-east, Corwen in the north-west, Bala in the south-west, and Oswestry in the south-east.
