Start: Llanarmon SJ 15841 32779
Distance: 24k
Duration: 10 hours
Direction: W following public footpaths then byway to Mynydd Tarw then off path navigation on rough ground uphill over Foel Wen and Tomle to join permissive path S to top of Cadair Berwyn. Follow paths S and descend to waterfall. Follow public footpaths through farmland SE then turn NE across to Bryn Gwyn farm and E along lanes back to Llanmaron.
Description: Despite poor visibility on the way up, there was a cloud inversion and the top was just about above - a special moment to see! Also, a poor but recognisable broken spectre. Some off path navigation on way up and boggy slippy peaty tracks above waterfall Pistyll Rhaedyr. Challenging and very rewarding walk.
