NB Actual date is approximate as unfortunately I didn't write the date on my photos! (Argh!). A group walk, staying in Onich. We drove to Kinlochleven and did the route as follows: Stob Ban, Sgurr an Lubhart, Am Bodach, Stob Coire a Chairn, Na Gruagaichean, Sgor Eilde Beag, Kinlochleven. I remember it was an arduous walk with an overcast sky and snow on the summits, not particularly deep but patchy, requiring crampons to be worn and ice axe carried at times on the highest peaks. Cloud cover was variable, ranging from overcast to sunny intervals with clearing haze throughout the day. The group examined the map together regularly, to ensure we were all in agreement as to where we were and in case we became split up, as some members were a lot fitter than others, so they pressed ahead and we regrouped on the next summit or before starting a tricky climb. Full winter clothing was worn. We loitered on the tops as it was such an amazing experience, and so did not return to the valley until it was beginning to get dark. I remember that once on the summit, we all had fixed grins on our faces throughout!!
