Classic Langdale Horseshoe Loop Starting from Stickletarn climbing the west side of stickle ghyll. The weather finally improved from a wild wet windy week so i enjoed climbing Jacks Rake to get to the summit of Pavey Ark and Thunacar Knott. From here i opted for a straight line through the bog thinking of potentially racing the langdale horseshoe in a months time. I carefully crossed the very wet terrain arriving at a low col and traversing and climbing to reach another col above little gill and below Rosset Pike. I traversed around to meet angle tarn and opted to go straight up onto bowfell. Avoiding rocks and any extra ascent i skirted west beneath the rocks to get to crinkle crags summit. I descended straight and down climbed the bad step travelling now straight to Red tarn and climb Blisco. The walk off Blisco was enjoyable though slippy i follwed to the top of the road pass at side pike and down the footpath to great langdale campsite and back along the foot path to my car.
