Guided 69 year old David on the full traverse over 3 days starting with boat from Elgol.
Impeccable conditions.
Bumped into Adam Hill by pure chance.
Watched a chap having an epic on TD gap. Dropped there for water while David chilled. Bivvied at Sgurr Alasdair in col above GSC.
Good going to In Pinn via King's Chimney and good timing, most groups being ahead of us already. Gave a TR to one of Mike Laits's guys.
Descended a v long way down at An Dorus for water, leaving David to chill and enjoy a roll up. If it was just me I'd've pushed on to the bivvi but D was out of water since a while and no rush. Had to ferret about at second bivvi (name?) to find a trickle and fill up.
Good going on D3 and we shared some ab rope with two other groups.
David wasn't feeling Naismith's so we cut under and onto BT from the col.
Windy on SNG summit. Time to run away! What a beautiful adventure. Both absolutely buzzing.
Area :
Skye - The Cuillin (Summer)
The Cuillin mountains of Skye are justifiably admired as having the most alpine-like atmosphere of all the ranges of the British Isles, and perched elegantly above the sea they have an especial charm. The traverse of the main ridge is of course a highly prized expedition, but the flanks of the Cuillin contain a very large number of crags of excellent gabbro, offering long multi-pitch climbs throughout the grade range.
