This day involved participating in the New Chew orienteering race, a challenging event that tested both navigation and endurance. The weather was cloudy with poor visibility, and moderate wind made navigation even more difficult. Nikki struggled to keep up at times, and we took a wrong bearing on one of the controls, leading to a detour and additional distance covered. The terrain was tough, with long miles spent trudging through thick tufts of grass.Despite the challenges, we enjoyed the experience and appreciated the opportunity to hone our orienteering skills. The day’s efforts were rewarding, and we look forward to improving in future. Summits reached: Black Hill (1,909 ft)
