Description

LMRT crag rescue on Eskyrrid Fawr. Single man line rescue over crag to rescue a stuck dog.
I worked at the top as part of the crag team setting up belays and raising the dog and rescuer. Top safety set up, Safety line and abseil line to rescuer. 5 belay stakes used at top, put in by team with tree belay for top safety.
Dog had been there for 2 days before discovery. Dog was recovered in good health. Finished the rescue into the dark.

This area includes the weathered limestone sea cliffs around Bridgend (Ogmor and Witches Point crags), as well as the inland limestone and sandstone areas surrounding Merthyr Tydfil and Abergavenny near Cardiff. Morlais Quarry, Dinas Rock and Trebanog are also included. It does not include The Gower.
