A fantastic day using the Honister bus to reach the start then walking back over Dale Head, High Spy and Maiden Moor with a returning customer. We caught the ferry back to Keswick at the end of the walk which was a really special ending particularly as we both live locally and the boat ride made it feel like we were on holiday! The temperature was very low with a brisk wind at first making the climb to the summit of Dale Head quite tough, but heading down from High Spy the sun came out and it was a beautiful warm afternoon with nothing to be heard but Skylarks and the odd passing aeroplane. A fabulous day!
