A wet day on the west face of Tryfan. Ignoring the advice of the guide book we went in search of slippery wet lichenous rock on the impressive Wrinkled Tower route. It is a great scramble and only the top half of the route (the Tower itself) was slippery, very slippery! The traverse out along the narrowing platform was made all the more exciting as a result. We reached the north ridge of Tryfan just below the Cannon stone and descended to the Milestone buttress. It was a great and exciting day out - definitely a three star route.

Glyderau
The Glyderau (a Welsh plural form, also known in English as the Glyders) are a mountain group in Snowdonia, North Wales. The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
