I think that this route should be removed from the guidebook and is certainly not worthy of a star! Either that or the grade should be adjusted to account for the at least 5b crux section of the think slimy wet crack and the very awkward rounded off width crack at the top of the first pitch. The last two pitches consisted of lots of gorse and heather and to top it all off, Nils and I were benighted for the last pitch with no torches for the descent! I'm glad to see that all those years of experience have taught me to always be well prepared...
Area :
Llanberis Pass
The one-time crucible of Welsh climbing. The fine crags of the Pass are easily accessible from the road. On the north side, the principal crags are: Dinas y Gromlech (bearing the famous line of Cenotaph Corner), Carreg Wastad (flat rock) and Clogwyn y Grochan. Further down the valley is Craig Ddu (black rock). On the south side, the principal 'roadside' cliff is Dinas Mot.
