Expedition to Everest Base Camp via Gokyo Lakes with an extension for Lobuche East & Island Peak. Leading 12 clients working with an assistant leader, local guides and porters. Coaching in self-care in the mountains, nutrition & hydration, dealing with altitude, movement skills, packing rucksacks and the full range of skills necessary for the mountains and Nepal.
Day 8. Gokyo Ri 5357m. Early start to catch the morning light. Tough climb hitting new altitude but absolutely worth it for the views. Upon return we left Gokyo and crossed the glacier for a couple of hours to Thagnak.
