First time back in a year. Caught the telerific from Morgins, practicing tranciever checks and telerifique checks before kitting up and snowshoeing up to La Foilleuse and then making our way to Point Savolaire and using the slopes to practice nav, avalanche rescue and snow pack evaluation. Son Jake skiid over from Morzinne for lunch but due to worsening conditions some of the higher lifts were shut and he decided to abandon the idea half way across. As the sky darkened we decided to finish earlier than planned and walk out. As the snow was more stripped than expected we used the gully we had origanally intended to avoid to shorten our route. Great shake out for the week ahead.
