I had two groups to supervise and teach during the walk.
The expedition team consisted of myself and 2 other instructors. We all took 2 groups each and went through the navigation syllabus to plan a route to our campsite and then from the campsite to the start/finish point.
Group Equipment: Each student is required to carry the following

OS 157 1:25k maps
60L backpacks
Walking boots
2 litres of water for each student
First aid kit for the group
Food and snacks
Waterproofs
Spare clothes
Stove + gas
Cookware
Sun cream and hat

Syllabus to teach students:
- Navigation (recognising map symbols, rights of way, roads, POI's, Gridlines and grid references, orientating the map to direction of travel)
- First Aid (basic first aid and what to do in emergency situations)
- Camp craft (how to put up a tent)
- Stove safety and cooking
- What to pack and how to pack
- Expedition aim
