Underfoot: frozen snow, powder and windslab above 500m.
Route: From Glan Dena, up Cwm Lloer, East ridge of Pen Yr Ole Wen into a whiteout on the summit. I navigated the whiteout along the ridge to Carnedd Dafydd, then we headed east sufficiently until we reached the grid ref at 670630, then headed down the slope southwards back into Cwm Lloer.

Terrain was easy going in the footsteps of others on the first part, but then breaking ground on the latter part was quite hard work, even for Reg the dog, who kept falling into the soft snow!.
