With over 25 years experience in the outdoors exploring the UK and abroad, I take huge pride in leading groups whilst sharing my passion for the outdoors. My desire to explore goes back to living in Africa for 6 years, Saudi Arabia for 3 years and then exploring the US, Europe and parts of Asia.
My leading experience involves, adult groups, schools, youth groups and Scouts.
I have been professionally leading for over 10 years. My work varies from guiding multiday expeditions in the European Alps to leading walking adventures (South Downs, Lakes, North Wales, Highlands) in the UK and instructing/assessing navigation skills courses. I am the Course Director for the NNAS Bronze, Silver and Gold programmes for Pied A Terre Adventures.
I am full members of BAIML & MTA. I am hold my WGL, HML and ML(summer) & IML qualifications.
In addition to my MTA awards I am a INWA Nordic Walking Instructor and hold my Level 2 Mental Health First Aid Qualification.
When I am not leading I am a member of Sussex Search Dogs & Lowland Rescue where I am a active Search Technician responding to operational calls searching and rescuing missing people. My role in the team also includes Instructing and assessing navigation skills.

Since gaining my professional leading qualifications I have had the privilege and pleasure to share the mountains of the world with my clients. Showcasing the great outdoors at its best in all conditions with clients and increasing their awareness of changing environment.
My journey through the MTA qualifications from WGL to IML was a progressive learning experience which evolved my skills, knowledge and reinforced why being a Leader is what I love in the outdoors.
Over the past 15 years I have had the honour to have guided, instructed and shared the outdoors with thousands of people. The time I spent with them has opened a new world for them, over come fears, conquered summits, processed life changing issues and above all shared a moment of time together without the noise of the modern world.
