Hello.
I am based in the Lake District, however you will find me working all over the UK. Internationally, I tend to be in Switzerland, Crete and Nepal for work. My personal time though has seen me in places such as Norway, Iceland, Kyrgyzstan and the French Alps to name a few.
I am a chef from my previous life, so can provide catering for all adventures, whether its cooking for you on a trip, or just bringing some nice homemade munchies along to the day.
As a Summer and Winter ML, International Mountain Leader with additional Paddle sport leader qualifications too, there are a host of activities and adventures I can work on or provide.
Working outdoors full time since 2014, this is my happy place and I hope to be able to pass that on to others.
Navigation, trekking, winter skills, ghyll scrambling, via ferrata and snowshoeing are some of the activities I offer.

I have known Hayley for 8 years or more, since we met on a Trail Magazine walking forum group meeting. I was immediately impressed with her enthusiasm and passion for the hills, and the obvious commitment she had to build her experience. The ensuing years have seen many great trips, walking, scrambling and climbing all over the UK and the Alps. Hayley is a very competent mountaineer, an excellent navigator and first aid practitioner, and moreover, she is great fun to be with!

Hayley has worked for me on winter skills courses, on the Women’s Alpine Adventure Club winter meet in the Cairngorms, she has also observed Mountain Leader Training courses in Snowdonia. Haley’s client care is superb, she is calm, empathetic and really listens to what clients needs and then applies herself diligently to any day out. I know that anybody out with Hayley will have a safe, educational and fun day out. Her very nature in the mountains inspires trust and enthusiasm with all those around her (although that could be her amazing chocolate brownies). She is a dedicated outdoor professional who is able to take the complex skills of our trade and break them down into manageable and easily learnable chunks for her students. She always ensures a friendly and open environment for all and promotes diversity and inclusion across all the courses she works on. Hayley is a great role model for anyone in the outdoors and for those wishing to join and progress through Mountain Training.
