A tour of the Mountain Heritage archive followed by an outline of the equipment and support available from MHT for use by AMI instructors on their courses. This will include items held in our ‘handling collection’ and the extensive book and mountaineering magazine collection. This will be intertwined with the story of Mountain Training, which celebrates it’s 60th birthday this year, including courses and instructional technique back in the day!

This will develop the ideas used by MCI Esther Foster on an RCI course in July 2024 and the work with Mountain Training and the MTA at their biannual conference in October 2024. It may be possible to squeeze in a drink at the Horse & Farrier afterwards!

This workshop is led by David (Monty) Monteith a retired MIC and Trustee of the Mountain Heritage Trust.
