During the day we’ll visit a number of key locations to discuss the
story of Haweswater and Mardale, pressures of the past, current
work undertaken by the RSPB, and a glance at the future. We’ll visit
Mardale Meadows, Burnbanks Woodland, and Swindale. There will
be short drives between sites, so we will car share where possible.
This workshop will be delivered by Graham Uney. Graham is a full AMI member who has also worked as an ecological surveyor for the RSPB and the British Trust for Ornithology throughout England, and also Scotland.
Please bring personal walking kit and clothing, packed lunch and binoculars if you have them.
