The workshop will run from 9.45am to 4.30pm 7th July, with an online Zoom session from 6.30 to 8.00pm on Monday 4th July.
This workshop is open to providers, course directors and any course staff involved in the delivery of Mountain Training walking leadership awards; Mountain Leader, Hill and Moorland Leader and Lowland Leader, as well as Hill & Mountain Skills scheme who wish to further develop their knowledge and skills in the delivery of these award schemes.
Due to Covid mitigation, this workshop will include an online session on the Monday evening 4th July 2022 to reduce time spent together indoors and reduce the potential risk of infection.
Thursday 7th July workshop will then be held in Dartmoor. We will meet at Burrator Arboretum car park at 9.30am, GR SX 568 689. We will be outdoors for the whole day and finish at the car park by 4.30pm.
Sessions throughout the workshop will include an update on the Mountain Training awards pathway; practical activities and discussion of any issues related to the delivery of the walking schemes, exploring any relevant topics that have arisen from candidate feedback and quality assurance visits, the walking schemes review and a discussion on the use of CMS.
The workshop is non-residential. The cost doesn't include lunch or refreshments.
