Workshop Description
A core skill for trainers and particularly assessors; giving feedback that is timely, useful and accepted is crucial for a candidate’s development. Assessors need to give both formative and summative feedback on courses, verbally and in writing. The delivery of this can be the difference between a positive or negative course experience for the candidate.
This workshop will look at how to give feedback in an appropriate, effective manner that is applicable to the candidate. It will focus on how to give feedback that may not have been anticipated and how to move on with a positive plan from this. Timing, framing and questioning techniques will be explored as well as how to remain objective, yet supportive.
