Mission

  • To inspire and enable innovative leadership and ensure consistent quality in the provision of the nationally recognised Mountain Training personal skills training and leadership qualification schemes in Scotland.

This event is an opportunity for those new to working with MTS to meet the ‘old hands’ and share ideas, thoughts and experiences related to working the Mountain Training schemes to:

Practice; Develop; Knowledge; Share; Support

When:             Saturday 28 October arrive at 0900Hrs (hot roll (e.g. bacon, and veggie for veggies) tea and coffee on arrival for prompt 0930Hrs start.

Teaching and Learning Part 1:             Background on how & why the eLearning and Workshop came about, in particular how the syllabus was agreed , the topics and the ‘level’ of pedagogical knowledge/content.

Teaching and Learning Part 2:            What is Teaching/Instructing/Coaching?

What is the difference between Learner Centred and Learning Centred?

  • Creating the Optimum Learning (& Assessing) Environment
  • Developing Decision Making in our groups

1500Hrs           Tea/Coffee/biscuits

1515Hrs           Teaching and Learning Part 3: Assessing Teaching & Learning - looking at the syllabi and facilitating some discussion on how we assess this in the awards.
