A teaching climbing workshop run by Kath James - top tips and handy hints on how to be progressive in your teaching of climbing. We will use a single pitch crag to look at the huge variety of techniques that an instructor might put to use when teaching climbing. We will discuss how and when to use different techniques and lots of different teaching progressions and ways of supporting your clients learning. This day will run on a 1:4 ratio.
With 12 years experience of working at Plas y Brenin I have built up a wealth of knowledge in teaching climbing. Kath has extensive experience of training and assessing and directing MCI, RCI, ML & HML courses. This teaching climbing workshop is an opportunity for you to pick my brains on all things to do with teaching climbing.
We will meet a Siabod Cafe and head to a suitable venue for the day. You need to bring along your climbing kit, and suitable clothing food and drink for the day.
