This workshop will be delivered by Jonathan Redmond, an Irish MCI with considerable big wall experience in both the Alps and America.

It aims to introduce the skills and techniques of big wall climbing, required for a personal trip, or to help with content and ideas for delivering your own intro to big wall climbing course.
Content will included hauling systems, jumaring, big wall belay setups, descent and retreat,  and problem solving on a big wall.
Jono will have a set of hauling devices/aiders/jumars to loan and use, but please bring your own or borrow if you can for the day to help with numbers and discussion on different types of kit etc. Bring approach shoes, plenty of slings, carabiners etc and 1 x dynamic and 1 x static each.
