Designed for people working towards their Rock Climbing Instructor (RCI) assessment or who are RCI holders who haven’t practised for some time or want to check their currency. This essential one day workshop will refresh and update your skills, provide plenty of opportunity to practise and ask questions. It will include slick bottom and top rope systems, dealing with common problems, group management and setting up abseils. Kath will tailor the content of the course on the day to suit the needs of the attendees.
The workshop is being provided by Kath James a WMCI and IML, a Rock Climbing Instructor course director and founder of Mountain-expertise.
Equipment
Please bring Rucksack, Climbing Shoes, Harness, Helmet, Belay Device, a Rope and any trad equipment you may have – nuts, slings, karabiners etc., Lunch / Drink, Warm Clothing and Waterproofs, and it can be useful to also have a pen/notebook and a camera/phone for photos.
