This full day workshop will look at how we can maximise the teaching and learning opportunities. We will blend theory with practical sessions and plenty of activity to ensure that you take the most from the workshop. No matter if you introduce people to the outdoors through the Duke of Edinburghs award scheme, or develop independent climbers in a climbing wall, this workshop will have something for you.

We will look at: How we support learning to happen; Skill acquisition and development; Sensory preferences and how we present information; Generating effective feedback. All of these will be supported by activities and tasks that will support you to look at your practice and develop the effectiveness of your teaching and coaching of the participants you work with.

So if you have ever wondered if are different ways to teach people to pack a bag? Tie into a rope? Navigate independently for the first time? Noticed that the sessions you are delivering are the same, and you want ideas for how to mix things up a little? This workshop will deliver.

The workshop is being delivered by Dan Wilkinson an active WMCI and Foundation Coach, Mountain Leader and Hill skills course director, with a great deal of experience working on Mountain Training courses.
