Description

VS 4c-5a-4b. Ian and I climbed. I took the crux 5a P2, Ian P1 & 3. The step crack is easier than it looks from below. I betrayed slightly lower than the pedestal to stay out of the gushing winds. As Ian stepped across onto the Arete, the wind redoubled!!! Almost a mountaineering adventure... :)

Area : Llanberis Pass

The one-time crucible of Welsh climbing. The fine crags of the Pass are easily accessible from the road. On the north side, the principal crags are: Dinas y Gromlech (bearing the famous line of Cenotaph Corner), Carreg Wastad (flat rock) and Clogwyn y Grochan. Further down the valley is Craig Ddu (black rock). On the south side, the principal 'roadside' cliff is Dinas Mot.
