A group of friends went up to styhead tarn the evening before remembrance on great gable. We set off to camp out at 10pm, and camped under a clear sky. The wind was very strong in the night (one member lost his fly sheet!).
The snow level was approx 700m, and the last part was pretty compacted due to the amount of footfall on the hill.
cloud swirled around the tops, but overall a very sunny blue sky day, albeit bitterly cold. after the service we retraced our steps back to where we had camped to collect our kit and head back down.
