Description

My friend and I met to tick off some wainwrights and then go shopping. 22 miles and a lot of hours later, 6 ticks, a dark forest and no head torch...
the shopping never happened!
The weather was so lovely that we just kept walking, eventually doing six fells in the area. Whilst not particularly high hills, the terrain and amount of ascent we did that day i believe this should qualify for a quality day. The terrain was quite tough underfoot with no particular paths the routes that we took.
Ling fell, kirk fell, sale fell, broom fell, lords seat and barf. We did plan whinlatter too but got lost in the dark in the forest.

Area : North Western Fells

Essentially this area is encompassed by Lakes of Bassenthwaite, Derwent Water, Buttermere and Crummock Water with the southern boundary being the Honister Pass
