Description
Heavy rain in morning so decided to wait until it stopped/eased - didn't but decided to head out for a walk anyway. Walked S out of Edale and headed up Hollins Cross and Mam Tor before continuing along the ridge towards Lords Seat. Headed N towards Brown Knoll and Edale Head (at this point the weather worsened to heavy hail!). Walked E along edge of Kinder Plateau and came down Crowden Clough to Upper Booth and returned to Edale via the Pennine Way. Very Wet!!
Area :Dark Peak
Is situated between Sheffield and Manchester. The underlying rock is Millstone grit which is often exposed at the edge of the higher peat bogs for which the area is famous.
