Description

Weekend checking routes for next seasons DofE expedition - also half term! The weather was poor - heavy snow and almost zero visibility at times. Started by leaving the car park at Curbar and walked North along Curbar and Froggat Edge. Continued North pass Grouse Inn and took path NE past White Edge Lodge and turned south to take path over White Edge Moor and returned via White Edge. On paper, this was not the most challenging walk but it has been included because the visibility was very poor at times

Area : White Peak

Lies to the south of the Dark Peak where the underlying rock is limestone - hence the name. Tends to be a little lower in altitude and also may be known as the Derbyshire or Staffordshire Dales.
