Description

Short walk with girlfriend. Weather wasn't too bad, mostly overcast with light rain. Quick walk as we were heading off to join parents for a couple of days. Route: Started in Grindleford and headed up Bole hill towards Millstone edge. Followed path just below the high ground and climbed up to Over Owler tor and then continued north to Hathersage moor. Headed East. crossed stream and then climbed up to the ridge of higher ground (burbage edge) and then headed south to cross the road. Headed SE along a path and then headed west to get back to the car in Grindleford

Area : White Peak

Lies to the south of the Dark Peak where the underlying rock is limestone - hence the name. Tends to be a little lower in altitude and also may be known as the Derbyshire or Staffordshire Dales.
