Starting out from our camp of yesterday at Codale Tarn, we climbed back up the fell towards Ash Crags then cut across open country to the West to Stake Pass and Langdale Combe. The wind was quite strong with some buffeting. From here we headed SW to Angle Tarn then up over Tongue Head to Allen Crags, High House Tarn, where we headed East over open moorland to follow the contour line below Glaramara to get out of the wind and avoid unnecessary climbing. We arrived at Combe Head then headed over Rosthwaite Fell to Tarn at Leaves, where we camped. The following morning we headed down via Combe Gilll back to Stonethwaite.
