Description

This was a walk that I led for the Huddersfield Rucksack Club.
Starting from Rhyd-Ddu, we took the track through Beddgelert Forest to come out just North of Llwyn-y-forwyn, then following the edge of the forest to the ridge East of Foel Rudd.
From there we took the path above Craig y Beta and on to Mynydd Mawr.
We returned to Rhyd-Ddu by reversing the route.
From Rhyd-Ddu we took the path heading East then North-East, crossing the railway then the disused quarry East of Glan-yr-afon.
We then headed North to join the Snowdon Ranger Path and then descended to the Snowdon Ranger YHA.
11 persons.
No incidents.

Area : Nantlle & Hebog

The Nantlle Ridge is the name given to a small range of mountains in Snowdonia, north Wales which runs south-west from the village of Rhyd Ddu for a distance of about 9 km (6 mi), ending above Talysarn and Nebo in the Nantlle Valley.
