Oh check out the bolted sandstone at Frogsmouth! Also Helsby and Frosham, where Colin Kirkus used to stop off for a bit of bouldering on his bicycle ride home to Merseyside from Helyg. Pex Hill is the other main venue in this area, plus a host of urban micro-crags giving lots of sandstone bouldering and bold leads/highball problems. Two sisters wanted to try out Pex so it was a good opportunity for me to get some rigging practice and a small amount of top rope climbing done.
