Description

PYB Scrambling - 5 Day Course: Day one (1). Walk and Scramble up the East side of Moel Siabod. PYB Instructors Steve Worth and Rich Gentry and a group of 6. Weather was typical North Wales in November. Gusting winds. Rain blowing horizontal. However, temperatures were mild at 10C. There had many days of rain prior to this week long course, and the ground (and rock) underfoot was very wet.

Area : Moelwynion

The Moelwynion (a Welsh plural, sometimes anglicised to Moelwyns) are a group of mountains in central Snowdonia. They extend from the north-east of Porthmadog to Moel Siabod, the highest of the group. The name derives from the names of the two largest mountains in the group, Moelwyn Mawr (great white hill) and Moelwyn Bach (little white hill).
