Two ladies wanting to get a Munro, Rain on and off and high winds, I suggested the lovely walk along Glen Feshie, to get Mullach Clach A Bhlair. Once up they could use their previous days navigation to get to the summit.
We had white out conditions on the summit plateau, and whilst a fairly short distance in a safe environment both ladies loved the opportunity to walk on their bearings with me just wandering behind and letting them go for it. Both were within 10 metres on the summit. A fantastic effort from both. The cloud lifted and they could see their tracks back, before dropping again and they navigated back ignoring previous tracks to see if they could get closer to where we set off from.
A very rewarding day out.

Area :
The Cairngorms
The Cairngorms are ‘a little piece of the arctic in Scotland’ according to the SMC Munros Guide and the area contains many of the tallest peaks in the East Highlands. Ben Macdui (1309m), Cairn Gorm (1244m) and Braeriach (1296) are probably three of the better known and the whole area is full of steep corries and high plateaux. Access to the mountains is typically from Aviemore or Braemar.
