Description

Camped with Max and Tommy in a field at Capel Curig, next to Siabod Cafe. The campsite had limited facilities, with just some portable toilets available. We set up camp on Friday night, in preparation for the Welsh 1000m Peaks Race on Saturday. The race was a major highlight of the weekend, and I was thrilled to finish 2nd in the event.Max’s partner, Brody, joined us on Saturday night, and we spent the evening relaxing at the campsite. Given the limited facilities, we used a lake within the Snowdon horseshoe to wash up on Saturday afternoon after the race, and on Sunday morning, we washed in a nearby stream. The weather was perfect throughout the weekend, with clear skies, sunny days, and a gentle breeze, making for a pleasant camping experience. We primarily ate our own snacks and meals, but both mornings we enjoyed breakfast at the Siabod Cafe, which added a nice touch to the mornings. The weekend was an excellent mix of outdoor activity, with the race providing a significant physical challenge and the camping offering a chance to unwind and enjoy the natural surroundings.
