Peaks Crossed:High Cup Nick (500 m - but not a peak)
The three of us: Ruari, James, and myself left Langdon beck together at morning light. This section actually took 7+ hours as we did an awful lot of stopping due to thick snow and being extremely fatigued, The climb to High Cup Nick was challenging with blustery winds and heavy snow showers. Visibility was so poor that we couldn’t see anything down the High cup nick valley, which left Ruari quite disappointed. When we reached Dufton we took the opportunity to load up on food and fluids at the local pantry, This was crucial for the next leg.
