This challenging outing with Max involved a series of peaks as part of a Bob Graham (BG) round recce. Despite the shorter duration, the day included significant ascent and descent over 25 km, with a focus on navigation under difficult conditions. The weather was mixed, with showers and poor visibility for much of the hike, combined with moderate winds, making navigation and progress challenging.Unfortunately, the day had to be cut short after Max sprained his ankle. Despite this setback, the experience was invaluable, providing excellent training for the Tor des Géants (TDG) event. The wet and windy conditions, coupled with the challenging terrain tested our mountain skills and teamwork. The series of peaks we tackled, including Scafell Pike, the highest point in England, added to the complexity and demands of the day. The experience reinforced the importance of adaptability, communication, and effective decision-making in mountain environments, especially when facing unexpected challenges.
