Last day for this trip. The forecast was for rain until mid day, low temps and cloud. The avalanche risk was factor 2 with glide avalanche the main risk below 2000m.
With this in mind we started late, did the week shop, then made our way up the car park at La Croix de Aiguille.
Starting late, we snowshoed up over the ridge looking at group management on steeper, narrower sections, some rope work, and once over the ridge and down onto the Pas de Croissette we looked at snow pits and did a few tranceiver runs. After a discussion on the condition of the ground above us on our intended route back we walked out.
