If you’re feeling nervous or uncertain about booking your walking training or assessment course (Hill & Moorland / Mountain Leader) then this workshop could be for you. I know from my own journey between ML training and assessment; it can be all too easy to compare yourself to others and those little niggly doubts about whether or not you’re at ‘the standard’ can knock your confidence! If that sounds like you, or if you’d just like a nice day of networking and practising skills, then come and join me for an enjoyable and relaxed day out. We’ll work out what you’re already good at and what aspects might need a little bit of polish.
We’ll start our day in a café by looking at the syllabus and kit / equipment; then head outside on a journey to build confidence in your skills.
En route we will aim to:
From 3pm until 4pm we’ll have a café clinic where we can discuss any other worries or questions that you may have about your pathway through the walking awards – we can chat over a nice hot coffee. If there is wifi available we can look at DLOG and some apps / websites which may be of use to you as future walking Leaders.
This workshop will be run by Branwen McBride; I am a school teacher and a Summer Mountain Leader & Climbing Wall Instructor.
