WORKSHOP CONTENT & LEARNING OUTCOMES
This workshop is a refresher for anyone working towards or holding a Hill & Moorland Leader, or Mountain Leader qualification.
During the last few months most people have struggled to gain time on the hill to practice their skills. At times like this we all start to feel a little like we're forgetting some of the basic skills of our trade. Navigation is one of those skills that need to be practiced and used regularly for you to remain confident and competent.
On this workshop we'll focus on refreshing your navigation stratagies, and how best to plan a route from A to B using the techniques you learned during your training course. We'll have regular evaluations and discussions throughout the day, so that by the end of the workshop those of you who are preparing for assessment will feel more confident and ready to progress to becoming a HML or ML.
