WORKSHOP CONTENT & LEARNING OUTCOMES:
This course is aimed at Mountain Leaders who are confident on steep ground and scrambling and who would like to work on Crib Goch and the Crib y Ddysgol ridge, or who are intending to work on Crib Goch in the future. Route selection, safeguarding on steep ground, escape routes and group management and decision-making with groups will all be covered and discussed throughout the day as well as geology and local history.
After completion, attendees should feel more confident about working on Crib Goch within the remit as a Mountain Leader.
PLEASE NOTE this is not a course for people who are unhappy with heights and exposure, but for Mountain Leaders who are already confident with scrambling and feel that they could safely lead on Crib Goch. There is also always an element of risk which is why participants need to be competent and and confident on this type of terrain.
