A great great day out and a long scramble up the East Ridge of Y Garn. It rained all morning but stopped as we approached the start of the ridge. I had two clients, both experienced indoor climbers but with very limited scrambling experience. The lower section of the ridge was wet and occasionally slippery scrambling over broken ground, not that great. The top section of the ridge mad it all worthwhile. Fine scrambling up an Arete and along an exposed ridge. The views from the top were great and both clients wanted to improve their navigation skills, they lead us down to Ogwen Cottage via the Devils kitchen (which we briefly explored) picking out features on the way and practicing micro nav. All in all a good day out.

Glyderau
The Glyderau (a Welsh plural form, also known in English as the Glyders) are a mountain group in Snowdonia, North Wales. The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
